How We Choose Providers

We only connect people with providers registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, whose recovery coaches meet the NDIS qualification or experience requirements, who may have a coach that suits and who agree to contact you promptly. We check they did, and we stop working with providers who don't.

  1. Registered With the NDIS Commission

Every provider has to be registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. We check the Commission's public provider register when they join, and again from time to time, including whether a registration has been suspended or revoked.

  2. Coaches Who Meet the NDIS Requirements

Providers confirm their recovery coaches meet the 2026-27 NDIS Pricing Schedule requirements: a Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or Mental Health or equivalent, or at least 2 years of professional mental health related work experience.

  3. A Coach Who May Suit

Providers tell us where they work, whether they coach online, and whether they have coaches with lived experience. We only pass your details on when they may have a coach with capacity who fits what you told us.

  4. They Contact You Promptly

Providers agree to contact you promptly after we pass your details on. We follow up to check they did. If they didn't, we find someone else.

  5. Your Choice Stays Yours

You choose whether to go ahead, and you can change coach or provider. We don't work with providers who pressure people to sign up or make it hard to leave.

What We Don't Do

  • We don't decide eligibility, give clinical advice or advise on your plan. That's the NDIA, your treating team and your support coordinator.
  • We don't assess individual coaches. Talk to the provider before you commit, using our questions to ask a recovery coach.
  • We don't send your details to a group of providers at once. It's one at a time.
  • We don't charge you anything. Providers pay us for introductions, as explained on how it works.

If you've had a problem with a provider we connected you with, please tell us at the email address in the footer. You can also contact the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission on 1800 035 544.
