Under the NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27, effective 24 September 2026, the most a provider can charge for psychosocial recovery coaching on a weekday during the day is $110.44 an hour in most of Australia, rising to $154.62 in remote areas and $165.66 in very remote areas. What Are the 2026-27 Price Limits?

Six support items, one for each time of day and day of week. These are maximums, so a provider can charge less.

Prices are reviewed each year, so always check the current schedule on the NDIS pricing arrangements page.

What Else Can a Recovery Coaching Provider Charge?

Under the 2025-26 rules: non-face-to-face work, travel, short notice cancellations and reports the NDIA asks for.

  • Non-face-to-face support: work done for you, not with you, that's part of your support. Only if your service agreement says so, and never general admin
  • Provider travel time, and non-labour travel costs (support item 07_799_0106_6_3)
  • Short notice cancellations: less than 7 days' notice, or not being there when they arrive, up to the agreed fee
  • Reports the NDIA asks for
  • Activity based transport (support item 07_501_0106_6_3)

Check this in your service agreement

These are from the 2025-26 pricing arrangements. The NDIA says updated pricing and claiming guidance for 2026-27 is coming shortly. Whatever the rules, ask your provider to write their hourly rate, travel, cancellation and non-face-to-face charges into the service agreement before you start.

We'll connect you with a registered provider of psychosocial recovery coaching, in person or online.

Who Do the Price Limits Apply To?

To plans or parts of plans that are NDIA-managed or managed by a registered plan manager.

The pricing schedule says the maximum amounts apply when funding is agency managed or plan managed. The NDIA can't pay a claim above the limit, and providers can't charge more than it. All the amounts already include any GST.

How Much Recovery Coaching Will My Plan Pay For?

The hours in your plan, at up to the price limit. The NDIA works out hours from your needs.

The NDIA doesn't publish a standard number of hours. Your planner or NDIS partner works out how many hours you need with you, and the dollar amount in the plan reflects that. If a provider charges the full weekday daytime limit, every hour of coaching, travel and non-face-to-face time is drawn down at $110.44, so it's worth asking how a provider will use the hours over the plan.

Why Is the NDIS Factsheet Price Different?

The NDIA's older recovery coach factsheet quotes an hourly price from an earlier year. Use the current pricing schedule.

Prices change when the NDIA publishes new pricing arrangements, usually for each financial year. The 2025-26 weekday daytime limit was $105.43 an hour, and the 2026-27 limit from 24 September 2026 is $110.44.
